Greece is a beautiful country, famous for its islands which are a world attraction for anyone looking for a vacation house or to invest. According to Spitogatos.gr, in the summer months the searches for houses for sale in the Greek islands are rising sharply. According to the survey we made on house listings for sale, the islands with the highest average asking price per square meter are Mykonos with 5.229 € / sqm. and Patmos with 4.317 € / sqm, followed by Hydra with 3.950 € / sqm, Antiparos with 3.807 € / sq.m. and Spetses with 3.675 € / sq.m.
The lowest average selling prices are observed in Samothrace with 849 € / sq.m., Samos with 922 € / sq.m. and Salamina with 940 € / sq.m. Lesvos, Chios and Evia follow with slightly higher prices.
In the Cyclades, lower prices are recorded in Syros at 1,611 € / sq.m. and Tinos at 1,721 € / sq.m. In the Ionian Islands, Ithaca shows the highest price at 2,464 € / sqm. and Zakynthos the lowest with 1.739 € / sqm. In Crete, Lasithi surpasses the other prefectures at an average of 2,205 € /sq.m. while Heraklion has the lowest average price at 1,384 € / sq.m.
