Searching for your student home is easy peasy with the help of the cat!

Yοu are officially a student at a Greek school, and you need to move to the area near it. Don’t worry about it because at Spitogatos you will find a dedicated page only for student apartments in all areas where universities, technological educational institutes and private colleges exist. Alternatively, you can use the filter for student houses. Follow the steps to get a certificate of excellence in home seeking!

Via Students page

1. Visit Spitogatos’ student page and select your school from the drop down list. A blue area will appear on the map which represents the area around your school.

2. By clicking on the blue pin, you will zoom in and new pins will appear representing properties at each neighborhood.

3. Continue to zoom in by clicking on the pins until the neighborhood that interests you more will appear on the map.

4. You are able to see a preview image, the price, and the square meters of the apartments by clicking on the pins where the numbers 1 and 2 are indicated – the number states the number of properties existing in every pin. Select a listing to go to the listing page where you will find all the apartment characteristics and the contact information of the listing advertiser.

The map can be very helpful in finding the ideal neighborhood since you can check if the apartment you like is close to a metro or bus station, to stores and main streets.

Additionally, you can change the limits of the blue area which automatically appears when you select a school by clicking on the Edit button which is placed in the bottom of the map and then by dragging the area closer or farther. Click on Search to update the search results.

Via the filter Student housing

1. At Spitogatos homepage, select Rent on the left side of the search bar and type in the area where your school is located.

2. In search results, select the filter Student housing from the search criteria and refresh the results. Save your search so you can look it up whenever you want without needing to search for it every time you want to check for new published listings. Furthermore, you can activate the email alerts to receive emails with new student houses daily, weekly, or instantly when they are uploaded to the portal.

3. Browse the search results and save the listings which interest you more, or immediately contact the advertiser for more information or for a house viewing. You can communicate with the listing advertiser by calling him in the number you will find by clicking on the Call button in the listing details page. You can also fill in the contact form on the right sidebar of the page and the advertiser will receive your message via email.

Search request

In case you cannot find an apartment that meets your criteria, you can send a search request which will be sent to the real estate agents of the area where you search for your student house. Try to be very descriptive in the request so agents can offer you apartments very close to what you have imagined of. Search requests are totally free, and you are not committed to cooperate with the agent who will contact you with suggestions.

Find a real estate agent

If you prefer a real estate professional to take over the house hunting for you, you can visit the realtors page and search for the list with the real estate agents with houses in the area of your interest. Perform a search based on the area from the search bar on the right of the page.

Get in contact via phone or message with the real estate agents and choose with whom you want to cooperate to help you find the ideal house for your student life. The communication with the realtor and the house suggestions are free of charge. It’s essential from the first call with the agent to get informed about the commission he will ask in case he’ll find you the apartment that you’ll rent.
